I Feel The Earth Move (Unofficial Music Video)
Inspired by Carole King's lyrics, I wanted to create a music video that was bright, fun, and highlighted the natural world around us. To create some nostalgia, I used ellipse transitions, dissolves, masked wipes, and a freeze frame. For the look, I added film grain, warm colors, and also added graphics, seen in the thumbnail, to add to the playfulness of it.
NextUs: The Conversation on Extremism
In collaboration with NextUs, I was tasked with editing their filmed research project. The goal was to create something engaging, informative, and easily digestible to help young adults identify and discuss risk factors linked to extremism. To achieve this, I sourced sound effects and music, created the title card graphic in After Effects, and cut the study into 5 parts: introduction, initial thoughts, case studies, post-studies thoughts, and the conclusion.

Rejuvenation, Feature Film
Edited with Shannon Carmichael, this film follows a collegiate track star, Trinity Tucker, after a debilitating injury. She becomes addicted to painkillers and seeks help from an experimental treatment facility.
We played with pacing and scene structure to create tension and mystery for this thriller. In addition, we were responsible for other duties like project workflow, data management, dailies, and HOD collaboration.
Exquisite Corpse on 16mm
'Exquisite Corpse' is a type of collaboration in which the participants make their contribution and the following participants add to it. For this short film, filmmakers shot their own 16mm footage which was then compiled into one source. Each filmmaker then cut their own film from the collective footage.
For mine, I decided to follow connections I found within the footage or their relationship to sounds. For example, I rotoscoped the pigeon onto the sidewalk because it reminded me of the joke, "Why did the chicken cross the road?" One of the connections I made through sound was the vocalist singing the sustained note. It had an echo quality and a Dopler-like effect that fit so well in the tunnel as the train passed by.
23 Years for Three Hours North
In this drama, two adult siblings receive word that their father has been admitted to a hospital upstate. I was responsible for the cut and sound design of this project. Shot on 16mm film with just one light source, I incorporated parts of footage where light flashes across the film as a way of transition or punctuation. Sound design was important to give a sense of location and action to the character off-screen for most of the film.
